Privacy Policy

Effective October 3, 2026

In short: No accounts, no cookies, no ads, no tracking. Your wine-list photos are sent to an AI service to be read and are not stored by ThisPour. We keep only basic, anonymous usage records.

What happens when you use ThisPour

Wine-list photos. Photos are resized on your phone, then sent to our AI provider (currently Google's Gemini API) so it can read the list and make a recommendation. ThisPour does not save your photos.
Your choices and questions. The choices you tap, the wine type you pick and anything you type are sent to the AI provider together with the photos.
Tasting notes. When you tap the tasting-notes button, only the wine's name is sent to the AI provider, which searches the web (currently via Google Search) to find notes.

What we keep

For each request we log basic, anonymous details to run and improve the Service: the restaurant code from a QR link (if any), the choices and wine type selected, the number of pages, whether a match was found, which AI model answered and how long it took. These logs do not include your photos, your name or your contact information.

Technical information

ThisPour is hosted by Netlify, which, like any web host, automatically records standard server information such as IP addresses, browser type and the time of each request. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.

What we don't do

No accounts or sign-ups.
No cookies, advertising or third-party analytics.
We don't sell or rent personal information.

Service providers

We rely on Google (Gemini API, Google Search and Google Fonts) and Netlify to operate the Service. They process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Children

ThisPour is intended for adults of legal drinking age and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.

Please don't upload personal information

Photograph only the wine list. Avoid capturing people's faces, receipts, cards or other personal details in your photos.

Changes

We may update this policy as the Service changes. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
